Life Lessons from Auto Racing.  Steve Riach is the author of this book, published in 2002.  This is a paperback book, with a foreword by Joe Gibbs, and featuring, throughout the text, profiles and stories from the lives of NASCAR drivers, crew members, owners, etc, including Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Ray Evernham, Jeff Gordon, Dale Jarrett, Bobby Labonte, Jimmy Makar, Mark Martin, Kyle Petty, Shawna Robinson and others.  The book contains 186 pages of content, with very little in the way of pictures, but with plenty of inspirational and informational text.  The book is great for gifts, with a glossy cover and a presentation page.  Published by Honor Books (www.honorbooks.com), cost is around $13.00, and the book is available at Christian books stores, including Lifeway Christian Stores, www.lifewaystores.com.
"Local Racing Venue Ministry Handbook," written by Fred Culler, chaplain at Myrtle Beach Speedway in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is another "how-to" book, but it is geared toward those involved in weekly racing at local speedways.  The advice and wisdom Fred shares relates to ministry to fans, participants and employees at the local speedway.  Contact Fred for a copy by calling him at 336.847.4235, or by sending him a message at fgc1579@northstate.net.

Racing to Win: Establish Your Game Plan for Success is a book by Joe Gibbs, published in 2002 with Ken Abraham.  If anyone knows how to succeed, it's Joe Gibbs.  NFL championship coach, NASCAR Winston Cup Championship team owner--Coach Gibbs is very familiar with winning on the playing field and at the speedway.  But, Coach Gibbs knows how to win at life, too--through strong faith in God and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.  This book offers some of the principles for success that Joe Gibbs has discovered.  The book includes about 280 pages, and contains 20 chapters.  The chapters are divided into the following sections: "Success in Your Career," "Your Financial Success," "Success in Building Your Team," "Success in Your Personal Relationships," "Success and Your Moral Choices," and "Success and Your Health."  A section in the center of the book includes pictures, and references to Joe Gibbs' family as well as professional life abound throughout the book.  Lifeway Christian Stores and other stores have the book, which is available for around $20.00.  If you are looking for a nice gift book for someone, this hard back volume will do the trick.
